- Sun bears eat fruits and plants that means that they can disperse the seeds across the rainforest, allowing it to grow.
- When digging around for insects with their sharp claws, Sun Bears can churn up the soil allowing nutrients to mix and making the soil more fertile.
- Sun bears love honey! With this taste for honey, they claw bee nests from high up in trees, this then makes holes that can be used as nesting sites for other species, such as hornbills.
