Hertfordshire Zoo is a Charity (charity no. 1108609) with a very knowledgeable and passionate team to care for our animals and raise funds to support wildlife conservation projects both in the UK and around the globe.

Hertfordshire Zoo is home to over 800 exotic wild animals including critically endangered Tigers, Jaguars, Monkeys, Lemurs, Red Pandas, African Penguins and tapirs to name a few.  All are part of international efforts to conserve their wild counterparts and prevent extinction.

We are always very grateful for legacies to support our work.

Leaving a gift in your will to Hertfordshire Zoo is one of the most effective ways to contribute to the care and survival of critically endangered species here at Hertfordshire Zoo and worldwide.

Making a will is one of the most important things you can do to ensure that your loved ones and the good causes you are passionate about are provided for in the future.

What type of gift can you leave?

• A share of your estate – after you have provided for your loved ones, you can leave a share of what remains to charity.  This is known as a ‘residuary gift’
• A cash gift – This is when you leave an exact sum of money to us.  It’s known as a ‘pecuniary gift’
• A specific gift – Over the years we have received everything from crockery to prints to antique jewellery
