From the 1st of April, get ready to be immersed in the various cultures as you travel across the world, as Paradise Wildlife Park welcomes new species to the zoo. Travel to the deep rainforests of Southeast Asia, and come closer than ever before to sun bears, the smallest species of bear, as well as binturongs and Asian small-clawed otters. Enjoy platform viewing and even stop by our new Sun Bear Bakery for a few tasty snacks along your journey. Sit and relax as you look out to our sun bear habitat and keep an eye as you might even spot our otters playing in the water or our binturongs climbing the trees!
Step across to the Pantanal of Brazil and come face to face with our resident jaguars Kumal and Kedera, who have been based at our sister site The Big Cat Sanctuary whilst their new home has been built. Watch as they jump between platforms and even take a quick nap in their indoor areas. Step into the jungle to watch the jaguars explore and learn all about the conservation and protection of the species in fun and interactive ways.

Coinciding with Paradise Wildlife Park’s 39th anniversary and their last year prior to our rebranding to Hertfordshire Zoo on April the 1st 2024, these habitats mark a momentous turning point in our zoo’s history. Tyler Whitnall, Director stated: “We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our supporters, members and visitors’ patience. The wait is officially over and we are very excited to introduce you all to new and returning species at the zoo.’
Paradise Wildlife Park will also be running an egg-tastic Easter Egg Hunt this Easter where you will be able to hunt for clues across the Park and be in with the chance of winning an incredible animal experience! This Easter Egg Hunt will be included in the general admission ticket at no extra cost, so there’s no better time to discover the roarsome fun!
