One of the highlights of the season is the magical Christmas Grotto, where children can meet* Santa Claus himself every weekend from 30th of November, and including the 23rd & 24th December! You will have the chance to share your Christmas wishes with Santa, receive a small gift, and capture the moment** with a keepsake photo. And the best part? This magical experience is included in the price of your day ticket!
For those looking for a little mischief to go along with the merriment, a special guest will be making an appearance throughout the event — the Grinch! With his trademark green fur and grumpy demeanour, the Grinch will be roaming around the zoo, spreading his own brand of holiday humour. Don’t miss out on meeting the Grinch as part of your day ticket, adding a unique twist to your festive visit.
The animals at Hertfordshire Zoo are also getting into the holiday spirit. The zookeepers have planned special seasonal talks, where you can learn about some of your favourite animals.
