*Please note that unfortunately Hertfordshire Zoo no longer uses live animals in education sessions at the Zoo or during outreach visits.

Hertfordshire Zoo offers the opportunity for one of our experienced zoo educators to come into your school and deliver to your students. We offer a range of exciting and engaging sessions for  all key stages, all linked to the National Curriculum.

  • Ex Situ Conservation and Captive Breeding Programmes (Key Stage 5)

Our educators utilise conservation items such as radio tracking collars and a range of state-of-the-art 3D printed skulls to share the wonder of wildlife with your students.

If you would like to discuss content of the sessions or delivery, please email education@hertfordshirezoo.com and we will be in contact with you to discuss your prospective outreach session.

Outreach sessions last 45 minutes and cost £65 for the first session. Any additional sessions are priced at £40.

Please note, we are only able to travel to schools that are within a 15-mile-radius from the zoo.
