Hertfordshire Zoo is proud to offer an exciting and free opportunity for 16-19 year olds who are looking to apply for higher education courses such as zoology, veterinary medicine, animal management and conservation.
The day long programme gives you the free opportunity to discover the role zoos play in protecting biodiversity across the globe, whilst giving you valuable and worthwhile experiences to add to your personal statement.
This aspirational and practical programme aims to give you the opportunity to learn about how zoos contribute to conservation, research, conservation education and animal welfare.

This is a widening participation initiative and is currently prioritising students who are 16-19 and in receipt of the 16-19 bursary or are First In Family (F-I-F) to university. However, any places not taken up by students who meet this criteria will be offered to other students on a first come first served basis.
This is a free one-day programme, dates for up-coming programmes will be announced shortly.
This opportunity should not be missed for students who are looking to add tangible experiences to their UCAS application form.
