Hertfordshire Zoo is delighted to introduce our brand-new Beaver Badge Days. These unique days are designed exclusively for Beaver groups, offering a chance to explore the Zoo, while taking part in an interactive education session, which supports their requirements for earning the Global Issues Activity Badge. During their visit, Beavers will engage in hands-on learning, complete conservation-focused activities, discover more about endangered species, and create a themed craft to finish with their Colony.
Our Beaver Badge Days will be held on the following three dates:
Saturday 28th of February 2026
Saturday 7th of March 2026
Saturday 14th of March 2026
Endangered Species Education Session
Education sessions focus on endangered species and are led by our dedicated team of Zoo Educators, featuring engaging resources, animal artefacts, and interactive activities. During the session, Beavers will also receive a mask to decorate back at their meeting venue, helping them meet the badge requirement to learn about endangered animals and to transform their Colony into endangered species through masks or costumes.
Hertfordshire Zoo Conservation Champion Badge
Groups may also choose to work towards our exclusive Conservation Champion Badge. Upon arrival, those taking part in this optional activity will receive a conservation-themed worksheet to complete as they explore the zoo. Once complete, Beavers can collect their exclusive Hertfordshire Zoo Conservation Champion Badge as a reward for their hard work and commitment to protecting wildlife.
