Green Anaconda

Only 70% of the world's snakes lay eggs, the rest give birth to live young - the anaconda is one of these species, and can give birth to up to 30 young at one time.

The anaconda is well-adapted for its semi-aquatic lifestyle, with its eyes and nostrils positioned on top of the head, enabling the snake to see and breathe while the rest of the body is submerged. They are the largest snake by mass reaching lengths of 26ft and weighing up to 150kg on average, however they are not the longest.
