Made popular by the hit film Madagascar, the Lemur is a fan favourite at our park, and across Zoos throughout the UK!
The most commonly known Lemur is the Ring-tailed Lemur, but we also have the Red-ruffed Lemur, Black & White Ruffed Lemur, and the Black Lemur here at Hertfordshire Zoo. Unfortunately, all of these species of Lemur are in danger, with the Black & White Ruffed Lemur classified as Critically Endangered. This means that there is a real risk of extinction unless we act soon.
By adopting our Lemurs for only £49 per year you can support the conservation of these animals, and help us at Hertfordshire Zoo, in providing a safe habitat for these animals to thrive.
Your adoption package includes a personalised adoption certificate and a photograph of your chosen animal species. You will also have your name added to our very own adoption board of honour!

All Adoptees will receive a presentation pack including:
- Personalised adoption certificate
- Photograph of chosen animal species
- Keyring and pen
- Photo magnet
- Soft toy of your chosen animal species
- Your name will be added to the adoption board of honour until your Adoption expiry date. (please note this can take up to 4 weeks from the start date)
