It comes with great sadness that Paradise Wildlife Park must announce the passing of Cammy the Asian Short-Claw Otter.
Cammy arrived at Paradise in 2004 and along with his children he has been a visitor favourite for many years. Two years ago Cammy lost his eyesight due to old age. Our keepers continuously monitored Cammy very careful but Cammy proved that he was more than cable in all his abilities and losing his sight wasn’t going to stop him enjoying everything in his habitat from tasty treats to new enrichment. He used his dexterous paws to play with new enrichment, find his food and was still able to keep his sons in line. Cammy was the grand age of 17, making him one of the oldest otters in the UK.
He will be greatly missed by his keepers and the whole team here at Paradise Wildlife Park.
