The Feed the Wolves animal experience allows you exclusive access to Hertfordshire’s favourite family attraction before opening time. Following welcome drinks in the Zoo HQ a member of our large carnivore team will meet you and escort you to our wolves.
Once positioned safely and the wolves are at ease, you will have the opportunity to hand feed them through the mesh of their habitat.
Throughout your experience our zookeepers will tell you interesting facts about the wolves at the zoo. They will inform you about important ongoing conservation work Hertfordshire Zoo contributes towards and how this helps to preserve wolves in the wild.

Participants are encouraged to take photographs throughout the wolf experience – Please ensure you bring your camera with you. You will receive a full health and safety briefing explaining all you need to know before the experience begins.

Your entry to the zoo is included as part of the experience. You are more than welcome to spend the day with us to enjoy the other animals, shows and zookeeper talks.
Each experience includes admission to the zoo, so you can spend the whole day to explore all of our facilities we have to offer around your experience if you wish.
You can bring guests who pay normal admission prices online in advance but cannot participate in the experience.
